June 12th 1817 Germany – Karl Drais is often credited with having come up with the original design, which means it’s the 200th birthday of the bicycle!
To mark this occasion, I’d like to share with you all one of the best bits of one of Jaques Tati’s finest films, Jour de Fete.
Tati is the cycling village postman, who has left his bicycle outside leaning on a van, which then leaves…..could happen to me yet…..
Great occasion! Not sure about e-bikes though, isn’t that missing the point? Ol x
