Grab Your Ukulele – Uke Club Is Coming!

I’m honoured to have been asked to make a video for the London Mozart Players orchestra website and YouTube channel – it’s a virtual Uke Club video for all the family to join in with, and that includes you! The LMP have been running a weekly Family Friday spot, where the experience of playing and listening to music is shared amongst young and old alike. They’ve already had Joanna Lumley narrating The Carnival Of The Animals, a Grimm’s Fairy tale, a performance of Ferdinand The Bull, and many more. I recorded the whole thing a week or two ago in our conservatory, and from the morning of Friday 8th May anyone with a ukulele – or anyone without for that matter! – is warmly invited to drop by. Grab your uke, settle down on the sofa, learn a few simple chords, have some fun and generally get in touch with the feel-good vibe of life with a ukulele.

The release date is: 10am (BST) Friday 8th May 2020, after which you can catch up with it at any time that suits you. Click here to visit the LMP Family Friday YouTube channel (the video won’t be visible until Friday!). If you enjoy it, wherever you are in the world, please do click on Like & Share, to spread the word. Thank you.

  1. Hi

Fully aware you can’t reply to this, but I thought you might like to know that the Uke’s are getting a good use at this end ! I will try to attach Daisy’s offering from last night

Hope all is going well for you – your various postings have given great joy !

  2. Just watched Ben, absolutely BRILLIANT! You are so obviously a fabulous teacher and also a great communicator, and it was also huge fun, including naughty viola jokes. I can understand why pupils would just love you as a teacher. It also makes me think of Sheila, and I reckon you must have learnt a lot from her about how to make it interesting and fun. She would be so proud of you. As are we.

    Love
